The website you are looking at is a combination of two separate programs that all have their own login credentials (to be truthful, this page is actually a third one but does not need to be logged into). We are using a program called EQDKP+ for all of the vast majority of the website with another program called PHPBB3 which is our forums. Your username and password will be the same for both of these, but each of them will ask you for them if you are not currently logged into it. If you can, have the website remember your password in both parts of the website so that you will not have to login to each of them constantly.
Now that we have a better understanding of what we are looking at, let us go through from beginning to end how to set up your account from scratch.
Apply for membership
- If you have not yet done so, please read the Guild Rules as well as the DKP: Loot Rules before filling out the application. Each of them can be found next to the Application link on the left menu under the Links section.
- Please answer the questions below truthfully and accurately. These answers may be all that our recruitment department has to go off of to determine whether you will be accepted into the guild.
- The results will be emailed out to the recruitment officers whom will contact you in game to schedule an interview
Create your account
- Click on the Register option in the upper left corner under the Quick Login section.
- Read the terms for forum use and click below to accept them
- Create a username as it should appear in your forum posts. Remember exactly how it is typed as the website username is caps sensitive and will require you to type it in exactly as you do here. Your username should match your character name so we can determine who you are when posting.
- Continue filling out the registration and enter the computer generated CAPTCHA code at the bottom. If you are having difficulties reading this, click Reset to generate another code.
- Contact a guild officer in game to announce that your account has been created. It will not be fully activated until an officer has manually done so in order to prevent advertisement bots from spamming the forums.
Signing in to your account
- Once your account has been activated, you should enter your username and password to enter the website. **Remember to capitalize the same letters as you did during registration for both username AND password!** Put a check mark for "Remember me" and click Login.
- Click on the Forum link under the Menu or the tab in the upper right corner to enter the forums. At the very bottom of the forum list is the second set of login credentials. Enter your username and password here and put a check mark next to "Log me on automatically each visit" before clicking Login.
- If everything went correctly, you should now see several forums in a section labeled Members as well as seeing your username listed in the upper-left corner of the website. If one of these is not happening, please contact a guild officer for help.
Connecting your main character
- The website will need to know who your character is that will be attending raids and receiving DKP to purchase gear. Click the Characters link on the left side under the User-menu.
- If you have raided with us before on a DKP run, your character name will already be on file and we only need to attach it to your new account. If this is true, click Char Connections. In the pop-up window that appears, click the drop-down menu and put a check mark next to your character's name and click Submit. If your name does not appear on this list, please proceed to the next step.
- (Please skip this step if the previous step was successful.) If you have not raided with us before on a DKP run, we will need to import your character information from the armory. Click on the Add Character button. In the pop-up that appears, click the Import tab followed by the Import button. Click Continue. Enter your character's name and click Continue. Put a check mark next to "Take this char as yours" and click Import. Click any Close buttons and ensure that your character name, level, and class is now listed in the main window.
Configuring Raidplanner
- Click the Settings link on the left side under the User-menu.
- Click Settings under the Raidplanner section.
- Under "Settings for default member", select your character's name and select the default role that you will be signing up as. It should list any possible role available to your class from a list of DPS, Replenishment DPS, Healer, and Tank.
- Click the Submit button directly below these options before proceeding.
- Expand the Time & Date section. Select your time zone from the list and put a check mark to indicate Daylight Savings if your area changes clocks.
- Expand the English Settings section. Change the date format to MM-DD-YYYY and change the First Weekday to Sunday.
- Click Submit at the bottom of this section.
- If everything has been configured correctly, you now should be able to enter the Raidplanner from the link on the left or the tab at the upper-right and should not receive a message that you must declare a main character to use the mass signup system.
